Audit Senior
Audit Senior – Exciting New Opportunity
You will be supporting the audit function in the delivery of audit work across the department, ensuring adherence to required standards, while completing all tasks on time, to standard and within budget.
About The Role
Scope/Reach & Key Relationships
All those involved in delivery of audit work
- Partners & colleagues in other service lines who are key stakeholders in audit clients
- Client contacts
- Supervision of Audit semi-seniors & assistants
- Government bodies and external organisations such as HMRC
Job/Workflow & Technical Management
- Implementation of client audit work, ensuring effective team workflow
- Arrange & lead audit planning meetings
- Preparation or delegation of key client audit work in line with agreed budget, adhering to The KR Way standards (*in particular, The Life of an Audit)
- Liaise with Senior Manager/Manager/Assistant Manager on complex or key areas
- Monitor work progress and maintain communication with:
- All clients
- Internal stakeholders on progress/tasks/phases
- Research & resolve issues for upward communication, particularly in complex clients or higher-risk areas
- Prepare the completion section, including:
- Going Concern
- Key Audit Findings Report
- Other required documentation
- Audit file administration & file reviews to ensure high standards
- Set up relevant reviews (excluding complex technical sections)
- Clearance of manager & RI (Regulatory Impact) review points
- Assist other service line members as required
- Contribute to billing solutions for audit work done where applicable
- Act as key contact for outsourced team members
- Apply learnings from future audits
- Keep workflow updated

Client, Internal & External Organisational Contact
- Serve as key contact for nominated clients during fieldwork
- Proactively engage throughout the year via:
- Direct audit-related coordination outside official engagements
- Arranging stock takes where relevant
- Return commensions (phone calls & correspondence) within deadlines
- Ensure promises are fulfilled as much as possible
- Attend audit review & close-down meetings as required
- Maintain client hygiene factors:
- AML (Anti-Money Laundering)
- KYC (Know Your Customer) due diligence
- Engagement letters creation
