About the role
We are looking for an Audit Senior Associate to join a top-tier accounting firm in the British Virgin Islands (BVI) starting in October/November/December 2026.
You will work on a number of audit engagements, including asset management (funds) and/or insurance, and be in-charge of the audit file from planning through to completion, including a first review of the financial statements prior to the manager’s review. Reporting to the firm’s managers, directors, and partners, you will get hands-on experience learning from seasoned professionals in the asset management and insurance sector.
Please note that the job location is the BVI and would be an on-site role on a 2-year minimum contract (promotions and pay raises can occur during the contract). A relocation and work permit package would be provided.
Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- In-charge of/completing the audit file from planning through to completion.
- Preparing detailed audit work of various investment structures and related vehicles or other entities.
- Performing a first review of the financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS.
- In-charging multiple audit engagements.
- Researching accounting and regulatory issues.
- Corresponding professionally with clients and service providers.
- Ensuring engagements are delivered on time and within budget.
The requirements
- A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA).
- A minimum of 3 years’ recent external audit experience (by the start date), preferably within a Big Four or Top 10 environment, ideally with asset management experience.

*There is no income tax in the BVI, but there is a flat rate (8%) payroll tax, which applies after the first $10,000 of remuneration. Social security and health insurance deductions also apply. Please note that this is for informational purposes only and does not constitute individual tax advice.

Climate
Being located in the Caribbean, the BVI benefits from warm temperatures all year round between approximately 25-30 degrees.
Low-Tax
