hackajob is collaborating with Metro Bank to connect them with exceptional professionals for this role.

At Metro Bank, we believe the best banking experience starts with people who genuinely care. We’re not just delivering banking services - we’re building trust through authentic connections. Here, our people come first; our colleagues are part of a team that values individuality, collaboration, and long-standing relationships. We are also all about balance so most of our jobs offer the opportunity for hybrid working built around your role and home life, wherever possible.

What You Will Do

Audit Delivery & Portfolio Assurance

  • Complete pre-lend and in-life Block Discounting and Receivables audits (monthly, quarterly or risk-based), delivering reports on time and to the required depth and quality in line with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Undertake Sub-Hire audits, ensuring verification of asset ownership, utilisation, customer eligibility and compliance with facility terms.
  • Complete asset inspections, reconciliations and validation reviews across all Asset Finance products, including HP, Lease, Loan and Sub-Hire portfolios, in accordance with SOPs and agreed audit scopes.
  • Apply professional judgement to expand testing where risk indicators are identified, ensuring issues are fully understood, evidenced and clearly documented.

Risk Identification & Issue Management

  • Identify, assess and clearly report Minimum Cover Ratio (MCR), SNC and other covenant breaches, control weaknesses, fraud indicators and operational risks.
  • Promptly advise Block and Receivables customers of any confirmed breaches and clearly articulate the required cures (e.g. collateral top-ups, cash injections, replacement paper).
  • Escalate material issues, emerging risks and repeat findings through appropriate governance channels in line with escalation procedures.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
