The Australian National University (ANU) offers a range of Higher Degree by Research (HDR) scholarships to support outstanding research students from Australia and around the world. These scholarships are aimed at helping students pursue their research goals in a world-class academic environment.

Scholarship Overview
- Scholarship Type: Full tuition fee cover
- Stipend Value: Living allowance of AUD $34,000 per year
- Other Supports: Relocation allowance of up to AUD $1,000 for students moving within Australia or up to AUD $2,500 for students moving from overseas.
- Health Insurance: Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)
- Study Level: Masters by Research/PhD
- Study Course: Open to all study areas
- Citizen Type: International and domestic students
- Number of Positions: Varies (around 200 scholarships are offered annually)
- Duration: Up to 2 years for a Masters by Research degree and up to 3.5 years for a PhD
- Deadline: CLOSED

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants are expected to:
- Have applied for and met the entry requirements for a graduate research degree at ANU.
- Be currently enrolled in a graduate research degree at ANU.
- Eligible Countries: All nationalities are eligible for this scholarship.
- Eligible Course or Study Program: Any program offered at ANU.

How to Apply
Study Grants & Scholarships
Application Process: To apply, you must submit an online application through the ANU admissions portal. When you apply for an HDR program at ANU, you are automatically considered for available scholarships. However, specific scholarships may require additional documentation or a separate application.

- Completed application form for the HDR program.
- Research proposal.
- Academic transcripts.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- Letters of recommendation.
- Proof of English language proficiency (if applicable).
