Mission Critical Infrastructure | Data Centres & Critical Environments
AEP Global is seeking experienced Authorised Persons (APs) to join our growing team, supporting complex, high-risk commissioning and operational projects across the UK and Europe.
As an Authorised Person, you will be responsible for the safe control of hazardous energy and the implementation of Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) across mission-critical environments. You will play a key role in ensuring systems are safely isolated, tested, commissioned, operated and reinstated in accordance with approved procedures and site requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and implement discipline-specific Safe Systems of Work (SSoW)
- Control isolations, LOTO and other hazardous energy control activities within your authorised discipline
- Issue, manage and close Permits to Work and associated safety documentation
- Review RAMS and method statements for works within your area of responsibility
- Support commissioning, testing, energisation and handover activities across critical systems
- Coordinate contractors, vendors, commissioning teams and client stakeholders
- Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with approved procedures
- Support the safe delivery of high-risk activities while promoting a strong safety culture
- Maintain accurate records relating to isolations, permits and safe systems of work

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as an Authorised Person (AP) within a safety-critical environment
- Experience working within data centres, power generation, pharmaceutical, industrial or other critical infrastructure environments
- Strong knowledge of isolations, LOTO, hazardous energy control and Safe Systems of Work
- Experience managing Permits to Work and reviewing RAMS
- Experience supporting commissioning, testing and handover activities
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- A proactive approach to safety, compliance and operational excellence
- The relevant technical qualifications and certifications for your authorised discipline

Desirable
- Formal Authorised Person training or certification
- Experience working on large-scale mission-critical infrastructure projects
- Commissioning or operational experience within data centres or other critical environments
- Relevant technical qualification in your discipline
