Autism Intervention Practitioner | Southwark

Are you looking to build specialist Autism experience before pursuing a career in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Speech & Language Therapy or SEND teaching? This Autism Intervention Practitioner opportunity in Southwark offers the chance to join a highly respected specialist school where every day is centred around helping autistic young people develop communication, independence and confidence through personalised, evidence-informed support.

Working within small class sizes, the successful Autism Intervention Practitioner will become part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting pupils with Autism and associated communication needs through structured interventions, sensory regulation strategies and consistent routines. Staff work collaboratively with Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and experienced SEND Teachers to ensure every pupil receives an education tailored to their individual profile.

Rather than simply supporting learning, you'll play an active role in helping pupils develop the skills needed to communicate effectively, regulate emotions and become increasingly independent both inside and outside the classroom.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
