Full-Time Position – Autism Practitioner
Pay Scale
Starting at £13.45 per hour, rising to £13.67 after engagement. Opportunity to progress to £14.15 at your own pace. Reference: SA1202
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Tayside housing support service in Errol.
We are looking to recruit team players who have:
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to think creatively

- A passion for promoting community inclusion and building independence

We support an autistic individual who enjoys engaging in various activities such as:
- Swimming
- Walks
- Drives
- Arts and crafts
This role will provide an opportunity to:
- Support them in their favourite activities
- Develop independence and new skills
- Work within a wider multi-disciplinary team
Key Responsibilities
Autism Practitioners will:
- Develop and implement personalised support plans for the individual
- Build positive relationships with the supported person
- Work in partnership with the individual, their family, support network, and health professionals
- Work with stakeholders to ensure the person’s life goals and aspirations are central to support

On a day-to-day basis, practitioners will enable the supported individual to:
- Make informed choices using preferred communication methods
- Take part in chosen activities, including attending local events, shopping, or going on holiday
- Travel to and from places of interest
- Maintain their home, such as paying bills and making important decisions
- Live as independently as possible with support for life skills, and any necessary support with personal care
A full UK driving license is desirable (though not essential). Drivers will enable wider support opportunities for the individual to engage with their community.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team
- Passion for community inclusion and promoting independence
- Open-mindedness and adaptability
- Desire to support someone to achieve their life goals
