Candidate Profile
We are seeking a high-achieving graduate with a Bachelor's degree from a Top 20 UK university and a minimum 2:1 classification. Strong A-Level results are preferred, alongside a genuine passion for supporting children with ASC and additional needs.
The Opportunity
This highly respected Barnet primary school is seeking an Autism Support Assistant to join its dedicated team from September 2026. This role is ideal for aspiring Educational Psychologists, SaLTs, Occupational Therapists, Teachers or anyone passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
What You'll Be Doing as an Autism Support Assistant
- Deliver 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with ASC
- Assist pupils in accessing classroom learning and developing social communication skills
- Implement targeted interventions alongside the SEND team
- Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
