🔧 About The Company

Our client is a well-established and industry-leading specialist in bespoke vehicle electrical installations and mobile engineering solutions. With a reputation for quality, innovation, and technical expertise, they design, manufacture, and install a wide range of specialist vehicle electrical systems for customers across the UK.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Auto Electrician to join their skilled engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business where you'll receive full product training, work on specialist vehicle projects, and develop your skills within a supportive environment.


⚙️ The Role

As an Auto Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality electrical installations on commercial and specialist vehicles.

Working alongside an experienced team of engineers, you'll install and test bespoke electrical systems while ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately, and to the highest standard.

This role is ideal for someone with previous vehicle electrical experience who is looking to broaden their knowledge within a specialist sector.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical installations on commercial and specialist vehicles.
  • Install and wire 12V electrical systems and associated components.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
  • Test, fault-find, and diagnose electrical systems.
  • Use electrical testing equipment to ensure installations meet company standards.
  • Carry out soldering and wiring where required.
  • Install vehicle accessories including lighting, CCTV systems, generators, and specialist electrical equipment.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality and safety.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
  • Work independently and collaboratively within a skilled engineering team.

✅ Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience as an Auto Electrician, Vehicle Electrician, or Electrical Installation Engineer.
  • Relevant electrical qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent preferred).
  • Minimum of two years' experience within an electrical installation or repair environment.
  • Experience working with 12V vehicle electrical systems is highly desirable.
  • Experience using electrical testing equipment.
  • Soldering experience would be advantageous.
  • Experience installing vehicle CCTV systems would be beneficial.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Able to work using your own initiative with excellent attention to detail.
  • Flexible approach to work, including overtime when required.
  • Full right to work in the UK.

🕒 Working Hours

  • Standard Hours
  • 📅 Monday to Friday
  • 🕗 8:00am – 4:30pm

Regular overtime is available, with a choice of flexible overtime arrangements following your induction period.
