AutoCAD Technician
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented AutoCAD Technician to join our team based in Dyce, Aberdeen.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, supporting the design and engineering process through the creation and maintenance of high-quality technical drawings and models.
Working closely with the Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for producing accurate 2D and 3D drawings, interpreting technical specifications, and ensuring all documentation meets company and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, modify, and maintain 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD software.
- Produce accurate technical drawings and design documentation.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical information.
- Collaborate with the Senior Engineer to ensure drawing quality and accuracy.
- Maintain and update drawing databases and records.
- Ensure all drawings comply with company procedures and relevant industry standards.
- Support engineering projects by providing timely and accurate drafting services.

Skills and Experience
Essential:
- AutoCAD: 3 years (preferred).
- A recognised technical qualification or experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and drafting principles.
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable:
- Previous experience within the energy sector.
- Proficiency in Auto Desk Vault.

Education
- Certificate of Higher Education (preferred).
