AUTOMATIC DOOR ENGINEER

Location: Nationwide / Regional – UK

Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Paid: Door-to-door travel

We are looking for an experienced Automatic Door Engineer to join our growing team.


Chase Automation Ltd is a rapidly growing specialist security and access solutions company, providing high-quality installation, maintenance, and repair services across the UK.

We work with a wide range of commercial and industrial clients, delivering reliable, professional solutions across automatic doors and wider perimeter and access systems.

The Role

As an Automatic Door Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of a range of automatic door systems.

You will work both independently and as part of our wider engineering team, representing Chase Automation professionally while delivering a high standard of workmanship to our customers.

The role will include:

  • Installation and commissioning of automatic door systems
  • Planned preventative maintenance and servicing
  • Fault finding and reactive repairs
  • Electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis
  • Working on a range of automatic sliding, swing, and specialist door systems
  • Completing service reports and relevant documentation
  • Liaising professionally with customers and site teams
  • Working in accordance with current UK regulations, industry standards, and company procedures
  • Maintaining high standards of health and safety at all times
  • Travelling to customer sites across your allocated region and, where required, nationally

About You

We are looking for an experienced Automatic Door Engineer who is:

  • Experienced in automatic door installation, servicing, and repair
  • Confident with electrical and mechanical fault finding
  • Able to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Professional and customer-focused
  • Reliable, organized, and punctual
  • Comfortable working on commercial and industrial sites
  • Able to complete paperwork and digital job reports accurately
  • A full UK driving licence holder
  • Committed to delivering a high-quality service

Relevant qualifications, manufacturer training, and industry experience are highly desirable. Holds EN 16005 qualification and any relevant automatic door standards and regulations would be advantageous.
