About Alphalake Ai

Alphalake AI is a specialist healthcare automation consultancy helping clinics, pharmacies, and care providers streamline complex workflows through intelligent software. We build Python automation pipelines, OCR-based document processing systems, API integrations, and cloud-deployed tools that genuinely improve the lives of healthcare workers and their patients.

Our small, highly skilled development team works across the full stack, from low-level Windows automation and PDF processing to cloud infrastructure on GCP and modern web frontends. You would be joining a team that values curiosity, practical problem-solving, and getting things done.

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and technically curious apprentice to join our development team. This is a hands-on role from day one, you will be working on real client projects and internal tooling, learning how professional software is built and deployed in a regulated industry.

You will be mentored directly by an experienced developer and gradually take on increasing responsibility as your skills grow. By the end of the apprenticeship you will have practical experience across automation, data processing, web app development, cloud infrastructure, and API integration.

Key Responsibilities

Automation & Scripting

  • Write Python scripts to automate repetitive business processes (file handling, data extraction, scheduling)
  • Assist in building and maintaining GUI automation workflows using tools such as pyautogui and pywinauto
  • Develop and debug n8n workflow automations for client data pipelines
  • Help test and validate automation scripts across different environments

Data Processing & Pipelines

  • Assist in building OCR pipelines to extract data from medical documents and PDFs
  • Clean, transform, and validate structured data from various sources
  • Write and run SQL queries to extract and manipulate data
  • Help build and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
