Automation Engineer Intern (Growth & GTM)
Location: Remote
Type: Internship (Part-time, 3 months)
Industry: FMCG / D2C E-Commerce
The Internship
You'll work directly with the founding team to help design and build the systems that power our growth engine. This is a hands-on role with real ownership: your projects ship to production and directly affect revenue. Depending on your strengths and interests, you'll contribute across workstreams such as:
- Audience Capture & Outreach Help build compliant lead-generation and data-enrichment pipelines for pet-niche influencers, affiliates, and community partners. Automate affiliate onboarding, referral tracking, and CRM workflows.
- Conversion Optimization Instrument our Shopify storefront with behavioral tracking and A/B tests. Help build quiz-style product-recommendation funnels (matching dog breed, age, and health needs to the right product) with personalized follow-up.
- Content & Organic Growth Set up AI-assisted content workflows for blog posts, social content, and email sequences with founder review built in. Support SEO-optimized FAQ and landing pages per product category.
- Email Marketing & Retention Build segmented lifecycle flows: welcome sequences, replenishment reminders timed to product consumption cycles, subscription upsells, and churn-prevention campaigns.
- Revenue Analytics Help build a real-time dashboard covering orders, repeat-purchase rate, LTV by cohort, and channel performance, plus automated reporting.

What You'll Bring
- Currently studying (or recently completed a degree) in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Business Informatics, or a related field — or equivalent self-taught skills with projects to show
- Working knowledge of Python or JavaScript and comfort with APIs, webhooks, and basic SQL
- Curiosity about e-commerce, growth marketing, and no-code/low-code tools (e.g., Zapier, Make, n8n) — hands-on experience is a plus, not a requirement
- An experimental mindset: you like measuring things, iterating quickly, and seeing your work move real numbers
- Ability to work independently in a fast-moving, early-stage environment

Nice to Have
- Experience with Shopify, Klaviyo (or similar ESPs), or analytics tools like Mixpanel/Amplitude
- Familiarity with AI/LLM-assisted workflows
- German language skills (our primary market is DACH)
