Automation Test Engineer - Playwright

This is a fully remote 6 month FTC position - (UK applicants only)

Automation Engineer with Playwright experience and good JavaScript / Typescript coding skills is required by my consulting client.

We are working with a leading Consulting firm seeking an Automation Engineer with Playwright experience, their client is a financial institution who are looking to establish automation frameworks (Playwright) and CI/CD pipelines from scratch. You will be the go-to person for automation strategy and delivery in a modern, cloud-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build robust automation frameworks using Playwright (TypeScript or Javascript)
  • Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines, ideally within Azure DevOps
  • Collaborate with client development and QA teams to embed automation throughout delivery
  • Contribute to testing and deployment within cloud environments (preferably Azure)
  • Champion automation best practices in a consulting-led, greenfield setting

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong background in test automation for web applications
  • Good with Playwright, developing & building test cases from scratch
  • Confident in coding with either TypeScript or JavaScript
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps pipelines and version control
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Self-starter who thrives in a remote, fast-paced consulting environment
