🚀 We’re Hiring: Test Automation Lead
Salary: Up to £70K + Bonus Location: Hybrid (2 days/week onsite), Egham, Surrey Hours: 35/hour, 8am–6pm flexibility
A forward-thinking SaaS company—ranked among the UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing (2023–2025)—is seeking a Test Automation Lead to elevate their Agile testing and automation efforts across multiple products.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Testing and Service Delivery, this leadership-focused role is centred on designing, optimising, and scaling test automation frameworks while fostering cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of automated test frameworks, ensuring scalability, reusability, and reliability
- Collaborate with developers, QA analysts, testers, and Agile squads to define and refine QA strategies
- Own end-to-end test lifecycle planning for major releases, driving efficiency before launch
- Troubleshoot framework bottlenecks, resolve technical issues while providing hands-on guidance
- Provide dual pathway support—bridging manual testing gaps where automation alone isn’t sufficient
- Mentor team members, upskill Google colleagues, and promote fresh "best practice" insights
- Champion continuous improvement, reducing defect rates and quality assurance maturity

What We Need from You
All candidates must have: ✅ Proven experience with C# .NET, API automation, and CI/CD pipelines ✅ Expertise in designing/maintaining robust test frameworks (ability to avoid legacy duct-tape code! ✅ Proficient in Azure DevOps, Git, and other modern tooling (e.g.,jenkins, Postman, Espada, JIRA) ✅ Sharp stakeholder management & communication skills to translate technical decisions for all tiers ✅ Agile/Norm confidence—firm grasp of delivery towers, sprints, and cross-functional collaboration ✅ Self-starter mentality; independence and commitment to mentoring peers
