Automation Test Lead (IAM)
Location: Sheffield, UK
Work Mode: Hybrid (3 Days Onsite/week)
Contract: 6 Months
Role Overview
Seeking an experienced Automation Test Lead with strong expertise in Identity & Access Management (IAM) to lead automation testing for secure cloud identity solutions. The role focuses on Python/Pytest automation, API testing, identity orchestration, event-driven architectures, and GCP-based IAM platforms within a large-scale enterprise transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead automation testing strategy, governance, and framework development.
- Design and maintain Python/Pytest automation frameworks.
- Validate IAM workflows, APIs, SCIM, REST, LDAP, OIDC, and policy-as-code.
- Test event-driven architectures (Pub/Sub, Kafka, Queues) and data ingestion pipelines.
- Integrate automated testing into GitHub CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform API, functional, regression, integration, and security testing.
- Manage test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting.
- Mentor QA engineers and collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Engineering teams.
- Work within Agile delivery environments.

Required Skills
- Extensive Identity & Access Management (IAM) testing experience.
- 5+ years leading automation testing projects.
- Strong Python & Pytest automation expertise.
- API Testing (REST), SCIM, LDAP, OIDC.
- Event-driven systems (Kafka, Pub/Sub, Queues).
- Policy-based testing (RBAC, ABAC, ReBAC, PBAC).
- Consumer-driven contract testing.
- GitHub, CI/CD, DevOps, Shift-Left Testing.
- Cloud testing, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with JIRA & Zephyr (Mandatory).
- Strong stakeholder management and technical leadership.
