Job Description
Join us as a mechanic and help us deliver what matters by keeping our vehicles on the roads. The size and diversity of our fleet mean you'll have the opportunity to develop and expand your mechanical skills — help repair and maintain light vans, tractor and trailer units and our growing alternative fuel fleet. If you're a car mechanic, we'll offer training so you can learn how to repair HGVs, too.
What You’ll Do
Carry out repairs and maintenance across a large fleet, including Mercedes, Iveco, and VW Crafter vehicles Work on both light commercial vehicles and HGVs (LGVs) Perform regular maintenance inspections, complete online service records, and manage stock control Support fleet reliability by ensuring all vehicles are maintained to a high standard Handle a variety of mechanical tasks, including more complex and non-standard repairs Work collaboratively as part of a team, while also being confident working independently Follow flexible weekday shift patterns (early and late shifts)

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
