Role description
At Tata Technologies we make product development dreams a reality by designing, engineering and validating the products of tomorrow for the world’s leading manufacturers. Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for an Automotive PMO Manager to be based at our office in Warwick.
Our Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a fast growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial Heavy Machinery.
The Role
The PMO Manager is the senior lead responsible for establishing, managing and driving the programme management office for a complex OEM Vehicle programme. As overall lead, the PMO Manager is the key point of contact for all programme representatives and the primary interface between programme leadership and cross-functional teams.
Working closely with the Chief Product Engineer and Programme Director, the PMO Manager provides the governance structure, reporting discipline and delivery control required to ensure the programme progresses successfully through all development gateways. The role requires a credible automotive programme management professional with strong whole-vehicle delivery knowledge and the ability to bring clarity, pace and control to a highly complex engineering environment.
Day-to-day activities cover programme start-up and wash-up events, technical forums, design reviews, timing reviews, risk and issue management, and cross-functional coordination across all domains and respective teams. The PMO Manager will maintain accurate status against target, manage programme health reporting, drive escalation of roadblocks and lead recovery planning.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
