Master Auto Technician / Automotive Technical Specialist (B2B)

Location: SCOTLAND
Work style: Field based (fully remote)
Salary: Up to £55,000 + Car + Bonus + excellent additional benefits
Sector: Passenger cars & dealerships

You will be joining one of the fastest growing automotive export businesses in the world at a key moment in the transformation of the sector. This is a very exciting role in which you will work for this passenger car business which has experienced stunning growth in the last 2 years. Your role is to essentially provide the most outstanding level of technical customer care and technical training directly to the dealership network in Scotland. This role is part of the company’s growth strategy where customer care is at the heart of its planned growth. The work that you do will directly impact repeat business, dealer reputation, and future sales success. Reputation is everything in this sector... not just the provision of a wonderful CAR product, but in the provision of outstanding customer service. This role is 100% field based.

DUTIES

Dealer Communications

  • Provide a fully field-based technical support to the passenger car Dealer network and create visit reports.
  • Manage a caseload and liaise with engineers.
  • Escalate unresolved cases to the appropriate engineering team.
  • Liaise with Quality Improvement Team and the customer experience team to suggest improvements to the product.
  • Liaise with the aftersales team.

Technical Training

  • Review technical automotive documentation received from head office.
  • Create technical presentations and seminars and deliver to on-site technicians, ensuring best practices are shared across the Dealer network.
  • Create technical service bulletins, troubleshooting guides, and training materials.
  • Support the Warranty Team by verifying technical failures and providing expert recommendations.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5 years of experience in a previous technical role within the automotive sector.
  • A formal technical or engineering-based qualification or Master Technician experience.
  • Experience with diagnostic tooling and engineering logging equipment.
  • Experience in hybrid and electric vehicle systems.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, including electrical diagrams.
  • Full and clean driving licence.
  • Located in SCOTLAND.
