Autotech Training Job Description

Autotech Training, part of the Autotech Group, was established in 2016 and provides the highest quality MOT, Electric/Hybrid vehicle and technical training services to workshops and individuals in the UK’s aftermarket. We are proud to be a disrupter in the industry, with our forward thinking ideas and constant innovation.

Within our Milton Keynes head office, we have a state of the art training facility and Electric Vehicle suite which boasts the latest technology in EV and hybrid, and because of an ever growing pipeline of new business all across the country, we are looking for the next crop of talented trainers to join our team.

The Role:

As an Automotive Technical Trainer you will be responsible for all day-to-day aspects of the training delivery and assessment of candidates and individuals at our Milton Keynes site and up and down the country for courses including (but not limited to) Hybrid/Electric Vehicle, Hydrogen, ADAS and Air Conditioning courses on light and heavy vehicles.

  • Travel could be up to 5 days a week if required, or more if international travel is required.
  • Applicants must be happy to be on the road, delivering training from customer sites.
  • We are flexible with availability and admin days.
  • We also require applicants to live close enough to Milton Keynes that it is commutable due to some courses being delivered on our HQ site.

The role is permanent and we will be open to discuss either full time or part time. You might even be a self employed trainer or a freelance training consultant-we will talk to everyone interested!

  • Actively work to the policies & procedures as set by Autotech Training Ltd
  • Be responsible for delivering and managing all components of delegate progress in-line with the key IMI processes
  • Arrange and deliver technical training courses on site in Milton Keynes and externally, across the UK and internationally, at client sites
  • Maintain delegate training records for reporting purposes and mentor delegates
  • Keep up to date with technical and academic knowledge
  • Contribute to process of continual improvement

About You:

You will be creative, proactive, organised, flexible, results-oriented, and have a passion for and understanding of electric vehicles. We would like you to have outstanding communication, and organisational skills while demonstrating a positive and professional demeanour.

Ideally, you’ll be an experienced and confident trainer or lecturer who has experience of being in front of a classroom, with a demonstrated automotive background, preferably with MOT and Electric Vehicles. Any experience of HGV is an added bonus.

We would love to meet someone who thrives working independently but also able to contribute strongly as a member of a high performing team that’s really going places! Maybe you’re a technical college lecturer or already working within a training centre environment or maybe you are a technically trained, confident individual who feels comfortable in front of people that we could put through a teaching course. Either way, we want to speak to you!

The role is permanent and we will be open to discuss either full time or part time. We will even consider a self employed trainer or a freelance training consultant on a temporary/contract basis.
