We're Hiring Motorsport Technicians (Electrical and automotive)

Located in: Marton, Warwickshire | Sector: Motorsport & Classic Automotive Engineering

We're a specialist engineering company known for meticulous restorations and sympathetic upgrades. From Group B legends to carefully reimagined classics, our workshop pairs bespoke craftsmanship with cutting-edge motorsport standards to deliver cars that look and perform far better than you remember from period.

We're not a garage we're a small motorsport business with a £1.5m turnover, working on cars like Ferraris, Peugeot 205s and Ford RS200s. This is a role for someone who's spent most of their life doing this and still loves it.

Due to growing demand, we're recruiting for two positions:

1. Senior Motorsport Technician

Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 (approx.)

The opportunity

Take a lead role across our vehicle builds identifying and solving problems, and ensuring every customer is satisfied through a genuine focus on quality. You'll set the standard, so every vehicle leaves us better than it arrived.

What you'll do:

  • Lead assembly, upgrade and restoration work on high-value road and competition cars, ensuring OE-plus fit and finish throughout
  • Own complex diagnosis and rectification across chassis, powertrain and electrical systems
  • Specify processes and QA checks, sign off on critical stages, road-test and document every stage to keep customers fully informed
  • Guide loom routing, terminations and motorsport-grade electrical best practice
  • Collaborate with engine build, fabrication and paint partners as needed
  • Coach junior colleagues and apprentices, helping them adopt our methods and attention to detail
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in tooling, workflows and H&S procedures

What you'll bring:

  • Extensive hands-on experience as a senior-level technician in classic, motorsport or specialist vehicle engineering
  • Mastery across mechanical systems, wiring and diagnostics, with the confidence to own complex faults end-to-end
  • A proven track record of leading builds to exacting standards against an agreed timing plan
  • Clear, concise documentation skills and strong communication with the team and clients
  • Experience with period performance vehicles and restomod projects is desirable

2. Automotive Electrician

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000, dependent on skills

The opportunity

Help support the build processes of our world-famous 205s and our growing portfolio of special projects. You'll deliver complex builds, solve challenging electrical problems, and bring elite craftsmanship to iconic cars from diagnosing why the indicators or aircon have failed on a 40-year-old vehicle, to building new looms from scratch.

What you'll do

  • Repair and test looms for project cars
  • Manufacture new looms when required
  • Install audio and immobiliser systems, and carry out diagnostic work
  • Work on iconic cars such as the Peugeot 205 GTi, Ford RS200 and many more
  • Contribute to our reputation for sympathetic, high-quality, diverse and dynamic automotive and motorsport projects

What we're looking for

  • Experience in motorsport, automotive or marine industries
  • A solid grasp of electrical engineering first principles, with the ability to work unsupervised
  • Strong problem-solving skills, computer literacy and proficiency in Excel
  • Motorsport or Mil-Spec wiring and connector experience
  • A dynamic individual, excited to work on a range of road and competition cars to the highest standards
  • Hands-on experience with engine builds in a full-time workplace, with acute attention to detail
  • Highly motivated, proactive, forward-thinking, flexible and efficient, with a positive attitude
  • Able to work unsupervised, meet deadlines, and self-scrutinise work to the standard our customers expect
  • A confident communicator, both internally and with suppliers and clients
  • Full UK driving licence (trailer licence a bonus)
