Automotive Technician
Mobile FMD Technician – Kent Area

Location
Field-based: Conducts work on-site at customer locations. Ideal candidates should be based near the Kent area.
What’s In It For You
You’ll be part of a dynamic Fleet Management Team, maintaining and servicing vehicles for a contract customer. Flexible travel is required across assigned sites within your area, performing routine maintenance, fault-fixing, and repairs.
What You Will Do
- Preventative & Repairs
- Carry out comprehensive mechanical & electrical preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Perform precise fault diagnosis to guarantee correct part replacements in compliance with warranty terms.

Customer & Administrative Responsibilities
- Attend sites to perform repairs as needed.
- Complete all job cards, service sheets, timesheets, and paperwork accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct diagnostic analysis when necessary.
- Develop strong relationships with external/internal customers.

Asset Management
- Conduct full shift handovers (including tracking vehicle status: on/station’d/off-road).
- Ensure financial and cultural objectives are met.

Safety & Process Improvement
- Enforce rigorous HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards in all operations.
- Follow Safe Systems of Work strictly.
- Report hits/near-miss incidents immediately.
- Maintain spotless workspace hygiene under all conditions.

Compliance
- Ensure appropriate PPE usage; immediate reporting of defective equipment.
- Maintain uniform compliance as required.

What You Will Bring
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
- GCSEs in Mathematics & English (preferred).
- F-Gas 2079 qualification.
- Mechanical & electrical certifications in refrigeration/gear-related fields.
- Technical literacy (ability to interpret wiring diagrams, service reports).
Essential Requirements
- Mechanical & refrigeration experience (or demonstrated aptitude).
- Self-driven, minimal-supervision professional mindset.
- PC-skills with excellent written & spoken communication.
- Valatile Full Driving Licence.
- Flexibility to relocate or travel as required.
