Role Description
The Automotive Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Stirling, WA. The person in this role will carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a range of vehicles, following manufacturer guidelines and company standards.

Day-to-day tasks include:

- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues
- Performing mechanical repairs
- Completing service schedules
- Conducting safety checks to ensure vehicles are roadworthy
The Automotive Technician will use diagnostic tools, maintain accurate repair records, and communicate clearly with service advisors and customers about identified issues and recommended work. The role also involves maintaining a clean and safe workshop environment, adhering to health and safety procedures, and participating in ongoing technical training to stay current with evolving vehicle technologies, including hybrid and electric vehicles.
Qualifications
- Strong automotive diagnostic and repair skills, including experience with mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Skills in routine vehicle servicing, inspection, and maintenance, with the ability to follow manufacturer and regulatory standards.
- Proficiency in using modern diagnostic equipment, tools, and software relevant to automotive fault-finding.
- Effective communication and customer service skills to explain technical issues clearly and professionally.
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate service and repair documentation.
- Relevant vocational or technical qualification in automotive technology (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) is beneficial, along with prior experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices in a workshop environment and familiarity with hybrid and EV systems are advantageous.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to work as part of a collaborative, diverse team are required.
