Automotive Technician – Full-time – Yeovil

Role Description
This full-time, on-site position as an Automotive Technician is based in Yeovil. Key responsibilities include:
- Routine vehicle maintenance, including inspections, servicing, and oil changes, strictly adhering to manufacturer guidelines and company procedures.
- Diagnosing faults using diagnostic equipment.
- Performing mechanical and electrical repairs, including servicing of suspension systems, brake systems, and other essential vehicle components.
- Ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.
- Maintaining accurate service records and recording work completed.
- Collaborating with colleagues and communicating effectively with the service team.
- Contributing to a clean, organized workshop environment.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Strong skills in vehicle maintenance and routine servicing, including inspections and scheduled maintenance tasks.
- Experience in automotive repair and general maintenance & repair across both mechanical and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with suspension systems, including diagnosis, repair, and component replacement.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent) with workshop experience, preferably attained through an apprenticeship.
- Ability to efficiently use diagnostic tools and follow technical manuals and repair procedures accurately.
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to safety protocols, and dedication to high-quality workmanship.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work in a diverse and inclusive team.
- Preferred (but not essential): Experience with German and Jaguar Land Rover vehicles.
- Valid UK driving licence is required.

Salary Range
£35,000 – £55,000 (depending on previous experience and skills).
