Role: Mobile FMD Technician
### Where This Work Takes Place
Location: Candidates should be based in Greenford (North West London) or have flexibility to travel across:
- Oxfordshire
- Berkshire
- North-West London (e.g., Milton Keynes, Luton, Aylesbury)
(Flexible travel between customer sites as needed.)
### What You’ll Do
Your role involves maintaining a fleet of vehicles for a contract customer as part of the FMD (Fleet Management Division), reporting to FMD Operations. Full on-site service and maintenance may be required, so flexibility is essential.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing comprehensive preventative maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles.
- Fault diagnosis to ensure accurate part replacement while adhering to warranty terms.
- Ensuring complete end-of-shift handovers (documenting vehicle on/off-road status).
- Attending customer sites for on-site repairs as necessary.
- Use of job cards, service sheets, timesheets—ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completion.
- Diagnostic and analysis tasks when needed.
- Developing strong relationships with internal and external customers to build trust.
- Supporting cultural improvement within the team and on-site environment.
- Maintaining or contributing to process/operational efficiency through innovation or training.
- Multi-skilling through training (mechanical, electrical, and technical proficiency).
- Safety-first mentality—enforcing Company, Industry & Legal Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards in all operations.
- Reporting accidents, risks, and near misses immediately in line with company policy.
- Ensuring exceptional housekeeping standards in the workplace.
- Compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) use, reporting any defective equipment.
- Wearing designated corporate uniform while on duty.

### What You’ll Bring
Desirable Qualifications & Skills:
- GCSEs in Mathematics & English (preferred).
- F-Gas (2079) certification (valued).
- Mechanical & electrical certifications (relevant courses).
- Ability to read wiring diagrams & technical information.
Essential Requirements:
- Mechanical or refrigeration experience (key).
- Ability to work with minimal supervision (self-starting mentality).
- Computer literacy (access to digital tools).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Must hold a full driving licence.
- Flexibility to travel and work at different locations as required.
