Help build the future of autonomous mobility
Odysse is supporting the deployment of one of the UK's most exciting autonomous vehicle programmes in partnership with global technology leaders.
We're looking for an experienced Autonomous Vehicle Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our London autonomous vehicle programme.
This is a rare opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team of operations specialists, engineers, AI experts, software developers and data scientists, helping to establish the operational standards that will support the future of autonomous mobility.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you'll lead an initial team of approximately 25 In-Vehicle Safety Operators and Fleet Operations staff, overseeing daily fleet performance, operational readiness, people management and continuous operational improvement.
What you'll be doing
- Lead day-to-day autonomous vehicle operations
- Build and develop a high-performing operations team
- Drive fleet availability, utilisation and operational excellence
- Oversee scheduling, maintenance, charging and depot operations
- Monitor KPIs and implement continuous improvements
- Lead investigations, coaching and performance management
- Work closely with engineering, AI and data analytics teams to improve operational performance
- Build trusted relationships with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Help develop scalable operational processes that will support future autonomous vehicle deployment

We're looking for someone with
- Experience managing operational teams within a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Experience in fleet, transport, logistics or mobility operations is highly desirable
- Experience using operational KPIs to drive performance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A practical, hands-on leadership style
- A passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement
Experience within autonomous vehicles is not essential. We welcome applications from experienced leaders across fleet operations, transport, logistics, aviation, rail, emergency services, automotive, engineering and other safety-critical industries.
