AV Design Engineer
Duration: 6 or 12 months. Hybrid: 1-2 days Onsite, London. Rate: OutsideIR35.
Overview We're transforming how our people collaborate. As part of a global meeting room modernisation programme, we're looking for an AV Design Engineer to own the technical design layer — turning room surveys into precise, buildable AV solutions across our 11-site estate.
You'll work across Huddle, Small, Medium, and Large room profiles, driving the shift from legacy Poly infrastructure to a fully standardised Microsoft Teams Rooms environment. If you're an engineer who takes pride in the detail — cabling specs, acoustic performance, camera calibration — and can hold your own with senior stakeholders, this is the role for you.

Responsibilities -Design end-to-end AV solutions for each room profile, including detailed drawings and cabling specifications. -Lead acoustic, camera, and lighting benchmarking across sites; validate IntelliFrame and Front Row in pilot rooms. -Partner with the on-site Meeting Room team to interpret survey outputs and define remediation plans. -Oversee device configuration, health monitoring, and policy management via Teams Admin Center and Room Pro Portal. -Act as a technical bridge between engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders — communicating complex decisions clearly and confidently.

Requirements -5+ years delivering AV design engineering on enterprise meeting room programmes. -Strong command of AV design tools — AutoCAD, Revit, Visio, or equivalent — and system design software such as QSC. -Background in a regulated industry (financial services, government, pharma, or similar) with hands-on experience navigating change control and compliance requirements. -Proven ability to work across large, globally distributed organisations — comfortable across time zones and cultural contexts. -Clear, credible communicator with experience engaging senior stakeholders and translating technical detail for varied audiences. -AVIXA CTS or CTS-D certification is a plus, as is experience in banking or financial services.
