Role: AV Event Technician

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: London, City, London

Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 depending on experience, plus company benefits

Interview Process: 2 stage (Virtual and Face-to-face)

Hours: 40 hours/week working shifts that fall between 7am – 7pm (Monday – Friday)

We now have an exciting opportunity for a proven Audio Visual Technician to join one of our most prestigious client sites in London, to join our existing and growing onsite team.

You will be responsible for delivering a demanding calendar of corporate events whilst maintaining the high quality and standards of the client’s experience. The role incorporates all aspects of AV including pre-production, identifying technical requirements, attending meetings in an advisory capacity, managing multiple types of equipment and event execution. Support requests include internal and externally hosted events based at client and non-client sites, using both Virtual and Hybrid events platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with client to determine event support requirements
  • Provide technical support to the client event spaces, meeting suites, external venues and virtual platforms.
  • Planning and execution of technical elements for conferences and roadshows hosted at hotels and other venues with a view to produce a cost effective and professional event
  • Attend site surveys and productions days
  • Liaise with the Events and Comms teams
  • Coordinate with external production companies and host sites
  • Work with Rich Media Service teams including webcasts, video bridging coordination, projects and VIP AV
  • Carry out all aspects of the AV service prescribed in Event Function Sheets.
  • Maintain personal awareness of procedures relevant to the Events Team.
  • Deliver a high standard of service in accordance with SLAs.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience within a client facing Corporate Events field
  • AVIXA CTS Certified or similar vocational qualification(s) preferred. Candidates without this qualification will be expected to complete this training onsite
  • Live experience of digital sound desks including microphone management and EQ
  • Working experience of Crestron control systems and virtual signal routing
  • Knowledge of Video Conferencing, control, signal switching / routing and TV distribution systems
  • Expert knowledge of MS Teams and Cisco Webex
  • Multi-camera control systems and vision mixing
  • Working knowledge of virtual events production and broadcast platforms – Streams, vMix or Wirecast
  • Understanding of multiple display types including aspect ratios and video walls
  • Basic stage lighting principles
