The team works on some of the most interesting and challenging environments, providing clients with tailored solutions that meet complex technical and operational needs.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site AV Maintenance and Support Engineer role based in Winchester. The engineer will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing installed AV systems, including displays, projectors, audio systems, control equipment, and networked components. Day-to-day tasks include responding to support requests, diagnosing technical issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring systems are configured and operating to agreed standards. The role will also involve site visits, coordinating with project and installation teams, documenting work carried out, and advising clients on best practices for system use. The engineer will contribute to continuous improvement of support processes and help ensure high levels of reliability and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of audio visual systems, including signal flow, connectivity, and integration of displays, audio equipment, and control systems.
- Hands-on experience with fault finding, diagnostics, and repair of AV hardware and software in live environments.
- Familiarity with AV over IP, basic networking concepts, and configuration of devices on local networks.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and system schematics.
- Good communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to explain technical issues in clear, accessible language.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple support tasks and priorities on-site.
- Comfort working in varied environments (e.g., commercial, public, and heritage buildings) and adhering to safety and compliance procedures.
- Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in electronics, AV technology, or a related field; industry certifications (e.g., AVIXA/InfoComm) are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel locally for site visits and occasionally work flexible hours to support critical systems or events.
