Avaloq Developer
Senior Avaloq Tax Developer (Capital Gains Specialist) – High-Impact Engagement
Project Description
We are seeking an experienced Avaloq Developer with deep specialisation in tax and capital gains calculation modules—specifically CGCalc and/or CGiX—to support a major financial services organization. This is a high-impact engagement requiring strong technical and domain expertise in Avaloq’s tax architecture.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Conduct an initial assessment of the current tax calculation architecture within Avaloq, evaluating:
- Existing system design
- Data flows
- Integration points
- Produce a comprehensive proposal identifying an optimal target system architecture, balancing:
- Pros and cons of continuing with the existing setup
- Feasibility and benefits of transitioning to an alternative solution
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across:
- Tax, technology, and operations
- Work with teams to:
- Validate findings and recommendations
- Ensure commercial and technical soundness
- Develop clear documentation tailored for:
- Technical audiences
- Non-technical stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience
Must-Have
✅ 3+ years of hands-on experience with Avaloq Banking Suite ✅ Proficiency in CGCalc and/or CGiX ✅ Strong grasp of:
- Investment tax principles
- Capital gains computation
- Regulatory reporting requirements (financial services sector) ✅ Ability to:
- Assess legacy or complex system landscapes
- Convert analysis into clear, actionable recommendations ✅ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including:
- Translating technical findings for business and technical audiences ✅ Preferred: Experience with system migration or transformation initiatives in financial services ✅ Knowledge of Avaloq scripting (ALES) and related development tools (highly preferred)
