About The Role
We're building next-generation AI systems for aviation and autonomous flight — and we need people who actually understand how pilots and controllers talk. This is a rare opportunity to put your aviation knowledge to work on a project that directly improves safety-critical AI systems.
This is not generic transcription work. This role requires real familiarity with aviation radio communications, phraseology, and the fast-paced, high-stakes world of ATC audio.
Organization: Alignerr (Powered by Labelbox) Type: Hourly / Task-Based Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Transcribe real-world Air Traffic Control (ATC) and pilot audio recordings with high accuracy
- Label speakers, callsigns, clearances, readbacks, and instructions
- Correctly capture aviation terminology, abbreviations, and standard phraseology
- Complete task-based assignments on your own schedule
- Maintain quality and accuracy standards — precision is critical on this project

Who You Are
This role is ideal if you are:
- A pilot, student pilot, Air Traffic Controller, or aviation professional
- An aviation enthusiast who regularly listens to live or recorded ATC
- Someone with a strong working knowledge of aviation radio communications and phraseology
- Extremely detail-oriented and comfortable working with noisy, fast-paced audio
- Self-motivated and reliable when working independently

Nice to Have
- Experience with LiveATC, PilotEdge, or VATSIM
- Background in aviation operations, dispatch, or military communications
- Familiarity with ICAO or FAA phraseology standards
