Aviation Communications Transcriber (ATC)
The Role
We're building next-generation AI systems for aviation and autonomous flight — and we need people who actually understand the skies to help us do it.
This is a unique remote contract opportunity for pilots, air traffic controllers, and aviation enthusiasts to put their specialized knowledge to work. You'll transcribe real-world ATC and pilot radio communications, helping train AI that will shape the future of aviation safety and autonomy.
This is not generic transcription work. Your domain expertise is what makes your contribution genuinely valuable.

- Location: Fully Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Transcribe real-world Air Traffic Control (ATC) and pilot audio recordings with high accuracy
- Label speakers, callsigns, instructions, and responses clearly and consistently
- Accurately capture aviation terminology, abbreviations, and standard phraseology
- Complete task-based assignments independently, on your own schedule
- Maintain strict quality and accuracy standards — precision matters here

Who You Are
You're the right fit if you are:
- A current or former pilot, student pilot, air traffic controller, or aviation professional
- An aviation enthusiast who regularly listens to live ATC feeds
- Someone with a strong working knowledge of aviation radio communications and phraseology
- Extremely detail-oriented and patient with audio-heavy work
- Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working asynchronously
You don't need to be a professional transcriptionist — but a genuine understanding of aviation comms is essential.

Nice to Have
- FAA or ICAO knowledge and familiarity with standard phraseology
- Experience with LiveATC, flight simulation, or aviation monitoring
- Background in aviation safety, dispatch, or ground operations
