Responsibilities
As Assistant Vice President – Credit Manager (Securitisation), your core duties will include:

Credit Application Review: Continuously assess and recommend on complex asset-backed finance transactions, including:
- Auto & consumer credit
- RMBS (Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities)
- Trade receivables
- Other structured products

Portfolio Monitoring: Actively mitigate risks while staying compliant with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.

Framework Development: Collaborate with senior leadership to refine credit risk frameworks, risk appetite, and early warning systems.

Knowledge Advancement: Expand expertise across industries, sectors, jurisdictions, and financial structures within securitisation.

Internal Representation: Engage in internal forums, share insights, and foster cross-team collaboration.

Continuous Improvement: Support strategic projects that enhance credit processes and align with CIB Credit for EMEA’s objectives.

Clear Communication: Present complex credit matters verbally and in written reports to all levels of stakeholders.

Leadership: Drive vision and strategy for CIB Credit for EMEA, ensuring alignment with business needs while maintaining high accuracy and urgency.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you must bring:
- Experienced Background: Proven expertise in credit or structuring roles within financial institutions—preferably specialising in securitisation.
- Technical Proficiency: Comprehensive understanding of:
- Asset classes (auto, consumer, RMBS, trade receivables)
- Corporate banking or structured finance principles
- Legal and market implications of securitisation deals
- Analytical Rigour: Strong numerical and structured reasoning skills for accurate assessment.
- Commercial Acumen: Ability to make data-driven recommendations and present them with fluency.
- Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (minimum); preference for Masters’ Degree in relevant fields.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional listening, empathy, empathy, adaptability, and collaboration.
- Operational Excellence:
- Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency for reporting and analysis.
- Ability to prioritise tasks under tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- Risk Mindset: Embrace accountability, challenge norms constructively, and embody MUFG’s Risk Culture Pillars.
