Job Description & Summary
Our clients are all urgently seeking to re-platform their businesses—modernising legacy IT estates, reducing cost, enhancing efficiency and creating the foundations to scale. As they streamline their core platforms, they are increasingly focused on building modern data architectures and enterprise-wide data platforms that allow them to harness their end‑to‑end fund and investment data.
This shift is enabling firms to generate deeper insight, drive operational excellence, improve investment decision‑making and accelerate their transformation agenda. Market momentum across the AWM sector is building rapidly, and we must put in place the leadership and structure required to capture this demand and support our clients as they reshape their operating models for the future.
An MD is required to build out and lead our AWM Core Platform team, building a team of leading practitioners, that covers core platforms, outsourcing, data solutions, and the increasing impact of AI; defining our GTM strategy, originating and converting market demand, leading and inspiring our teams.
This leader will play a pivotal role in shaping market strategy, driving client transformation, and building high-performing teams that deliver sustained outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Leadership and Growth
- Lead relationship development across the AWM sector, engaging senior executives and shaping front‑to‑back transformation agendas.
- Drive market growth through identifying client needs and originating opportunities across Aladdin integration, operating model redesign and end‑to‑end investment operations.
Client Delivery and Technology Expertise
- Oversee complex operational and technology transformation programmes, including ALPHA, Aladdin & Simpcorp One implementations, middle‑ and back‑office outsourcing, and core investment platform modernisation.
- Apply deep expertise across AWM operating models, investment ecosystems and adjacent platforms to deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, cost and regulatory readiness.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
