Technical Lead (AWS & Databricks) - Pharma - Data Platform & AI Project

Location: Remote contract with regular London meetings and some international travel to end customer. Expect 3 days per week London and 1-2 trips every 3 months internationally.

Rate: Flexible around £500 per day (Outside IR35) DOE

Contract: Initial 3-month rolling contract with strong potential to extend to 12 months

About the Role

We're partnering with a global supply chain consultancy delivering a major transformation programme for a leading pharmaceutical organisation. They're looking for an experienced Technical Lead to help shape and deliver a modern data platform built on AWS and Databricks.

This initial engagement will focus on kick-starting the programme, working closely with the customer to build the business case for a longer-term roadmap, with a strong likelihood of extension.

As Technical Lead, you'll provide both technical leadership and hands-on delivery. You'll guide engineering teams, establish best practices, and help turn AI concepts into production-ready solutions. You'll be hands-on for approximately 40% of your time, mentoring the team and demonstrating how solutions should be designed and implemented.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
