AWS Engineer (Contract)
Rate: Up to £450 Per Day- Outside IR35
Location: Bristol 3 days on site.

Role Summary
In response to strategic growth and expanding cloud initiatives, our Client is seeking to appoint a skilled AWS Engineer on a contract basis. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure, playing a pivotal part in maintaining the organisation's technological edge. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement scalable AWS-based solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into cloud architectures
- Manage and optimise cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and cost-efficiency
- Automate deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
- Monitor cloud environments and troubleshoot issues proactively
- Participate in security reviews and compliance activities related to cloud infrastructure
- Document architectures, processes, and best practices for future reference
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience configuring and managing AWS cloud environments
- Strong understanding of core AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Sound knowledge of networking, security best practices, and compliance standards
- Ability to troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues efficiently
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively

Desirable Skills & Experience
- Certification in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
- Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
- Experience working within agile project frameworks
