Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere) Job Type: Contract Payout: $30 - $80/hour
About the Role
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking an AWS Engineer to design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure supporting high-traffic applications. The role involves optimizing AWS services for performance, cost, and security while collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain AWS infrastructure including:
- EC2/EC2 Auto Scaling
- S3 with versioning/lifecycle policies
- Relational Database Service (RDS)
- Serverless architecture using AWS Lambda
- VPC with subnets, route tables, and network ACLs
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using:
- AWS CodePipeline
- AWS CodeBuild
- AWS CodeDeploy for automated deployments
- Monitor system performance with:
- CloudWatch dashboards and alarms
- CloudTrail for audit trail analysis
- Third-party tools (e.g., Datadog, New Relic)
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to:
- AWS service anomalies
- Network latency or connectivity issues
- Security misconfigurations
- Document infrastructure, processes, and AWS Best Practices for knowledge sharing and compliance.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Professional AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or higher) OR Equivalent hands-on experience with AWS core services
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
- Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
- Experience with:
- Linux/Unix environments
- Shell scripting (Bash/Python) for automation
- Secure-by-design mindset:
- Knowledge of IAM best practices
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, PCI-DSS)
- Experience with containerized deployments:
- Docker
- Kubernetes on AWS (scheduled on EKS or self-managed)
