AWS Solution Architect

Location: London, Manchester or Leeds (Hybrid Working)

Salary: £75,000 - £90,000 + £7,000 tax-free DV Bonus + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Security Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance

The Opportunity

Join a leading cyber and intelligence organisation, helping customers accelerate their cloud adoption journey and build secure, scalable AWS environments.

As an AWS Solution Architect, you'll play a key role in shaping cloud strategies, designing enterprise-scale architectures and supporting complex migrations across National Security programmes. You'll work closely with customers, engineering teams and technical stakeholders to define cloud solutions that are secure, resilient and built for the future.

The Role

You'll take ownership of AWS architecture decisions, supporting customers through cloud transformation while establishing best practices, reusable patterns and automated deployment approaches.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver AWS cloud architectures, migration strategies and reference patterns.
  • Act as a technical lead across cloud migration and enablement programmes.
  • Define secure, scalable solutions across complex AWS environments.
  • Support engineering teams with architecture guidance, troubleshooting and technical decisions.
  • Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code, automation and reusable deployment patterns.
  • Conduct architectural reviews and ensure solutions align with AWS best practices.
  • Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective cloud solutions.

What We're Looking For

You'll ideally have experience with:

  • Strong AWS architecture experience within enterprise environments.
  • Cloud migration experience and knowledge of AWS adoption journeys.
  • Designing cloud reference architectures, patterns and standards.
  • AWS security and networking services.
  • DevOps practices and CI/CD tooling.
  • Infrastructure as Code approaches.
  • Understanding of cloud security principles and secure-by-design practices.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Desirable:

  • AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Associate/Professional or Security/Networking Specialisms).
  • Experience with large multi-account AWS estates.
  • Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical teams.
  • SAFe, Scrum or other Agile certifications.
