Job Summary
Seeking an Associate Principal with 11 to 15 years of experience to lead the design and development of scalable serverless applications using AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, and AWS Step Functions within the Python/AWS technology stack.
Job Description
- Design and develop high-quality scalable serverless applications leveraging AWS Lambda for efficient compute management
- Architect and implement API solutions using AWS API Gateway to enable secure and scalable service integration
- Build and orchestrate complex workflows and state machines using AWS Step Functions to automate business processes
- Utilize Python to develop robust backend logic and integrate with AWS services
- Manage data storage solutions using AWS RDS to ensure reliable and scalable database operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AWS cloud services seamlessly and optimize application performance
- Ensure adherence to cloud-native architecture best practices including security, scalability, and cost-effectiveness
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments
- Stay updated with emerging AWS and Python technologies to recommend and implement continuous improvements

Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and Step Functions within the Python ecosystem
- Architect and manage scalable API Gateway configurations and Lambda functions to support business logic
- Oversee the orchestration of workflows using AWS Step Functions to streamline and automate complex processes
- Manage and optimize AWS RDS instances including access control, performance tuning, and lifecycle management
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment, scaling, and monitoring on AWS infrastructure
- Ensure application scalability, reliability, and maintainability in cloud environments
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to senior and junior developers on Python and AWS best practices
- Engage with stakeholders to gather technical requirements and translate them into robust solutions
- Monitor application health and implement proactive measures to minimize downtime and enhance performance
