Location: All Wales Therapeutics and Toxicology Centre (AWTTC), Cardiff and Vale University Health Board
The Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is seeking an exciting opportunity for a Medicines Access Efficiency Project Manager due to the expansion of their current service.
About the Role
The All Wales Therapeutics and Toxicology Centre (AWTTC) provides dedicated administrative, technical, and professional support for:
- Medicines optimisation projects
- Prescribing analysis
- Appraisal and monitoring of medicines in Wales
- Supporting the All Wales Medicines Strategy Group (AWMSG) in strategic prescribing decisions
Working in close collaboration with the Medicines Value Unit (MVU), this role plays a central part in a multi-disciplinary team focused on: ✔ Improving efficiencies and timeliness of medicine access ✔ Supporting University Health Boards and Nye Bevan University Health Board (The Trust in Wales) ✔ Ensuring safe and high-quality healthcare services while maintaining a financial balance

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Delivering data-driven improvements in medicines access.
- Manipulating spreadsheets and datasets to identify and implement service changes.
- Working at a national level with a small, collaborative team.
- Optimising medicines usage within NHS Wales.
Requirements
Essential:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience with spreadsheets and data analysis.
- Ability to work independently and with multi-disciplinary teams.
Advantageous but not essential:
- Background or experience in a pharmacy environment.
- Knowledge of NHS Wales medicines strategy.
Desirable:
- Proficiency in Welsh (though Welsh and English speakers are equally encouraged to apply).
