Axia Stream Manager (4-year FTC)

Let your originality soar

As the nation’s flag carrier, we take great pride in connecting Britain with the world and the world with Britain. This is something we’ve been doing for over 100 years.

The Role

Axia Stream Manager

External Applicants: 4-Year Fixed Term Contract (Full-Time) Internal Applicants: 4-Year Secondment (Full-Time)

The Axia Stream Manager will lead their respective Engineering and Maintenance teams through Project Axia, a transformation programme that includes the move from SAP to AMOS. This role is responsible for leading one of three core Axia streams, ensuring the new MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) solution supports business objectives, operational efficiency, and compliance.

Axia at British Airways is not merely an IT transition; it’s a transformation—and you’ll play a crucial role in reworking, reimagining, and refining every aspect of how we operate.

Scope of Responsibility

The role oversees the delivery of a £100m+ capital investment (up to £250m IAG group-wide), with accountability for:

  1. Designing the Engineering and Maintenance (M&E) solution

    • Aligning business objectives with the technology solution.
    • Ensuring the new AMOS system supports optimised IAG group and British Airways level operations.
  2. ** programme delivery**

    • Leading a high-performing team to meet strategic timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements.
    • Managing stakeholder engagement and cross-team dependencies between Axia and IAG.
  3. Middleware Build & Alignment

    • Collaborating with technical, operational, and regulatory teams to implement changes with minimal disruption.
  4. Stakeholder and Supplier Influencing

    • Driving alignment with opco partners, financial, and commercial entities to integrate new solutions.
    • Engaging with suppliers and industry experts to enhance operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
