Azure & Cloud Engineer

Azure Cloud Engineer – Leading Law Firm

We are working with a leading law firm seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to support, improve, and continuously enhance their Microsoft Azure cloud platform. This role focuses on engineering, automation, security, and operational excellence to support business-critical services across multiple international locations.

The Azure Cloud Engineer will join the Azure & Infrastructure Team, working closely with Identity & Messaging, Security, and regional IT teams to ensure cloud services are secure, resilient, cost-effective, and aligned with organisational standards


Key Responsibilities

  • Providing Level 3 (L3) support across a broad range of Azure services, including:
    • Azure IaaS and PaaS
    • Terraform for infrastructure provisioning
    • Containers
    • Subscription and Tenant Management
    • Azure DevOps and Azure Security

  • Building, maintaining, and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to support evolving business requirements efficiently.

  • Automating workflows and processes using:

    • Logic Apps
    • Azure Functions
    • Other cloud-native tools
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting cloud performance, availability, and reliability issues.

  • Ensuring security and compliance standards are met through:

    • Azure Policies
    • Role-based access controls (RBAC)
    • Permissions management
  • Designing, maintaining, and enhancing Terraform scripts to support changing business requirements.

  • Implementing Azure infrastructure and services in line with established designs, standards, and best practices.

  • Participating in an on-call rotation to support P1 major incidents during off-hours.


Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Hands-on commercial experience in Azure administration or cloud engineering, ideally within a corporate environment.

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • Azure services and features (e.g., Azure Management, Terraform, Containers, Private Endpoints)
    • Azure networking (e.g., VNets (Virtual Networks), VPNs, Peering, Private Endpoints)
    • Azure Compute and Storage Services
  • Experience with:

    • Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar version control and CI/CD tools.
  • Familiarity with:

    • Cloud security best practices
    • Security tools such as:
      • Azure Security Center
      • Azure Key Vault
  • Azure certifications (advantageous but not mandatory) such as:

    • Azure Administrator Associate
    • Azure Developer Associate
    • Azure Security Engineer Associate
    • Azure Solutions Architect Expert
