Initial 6-Month Contract - Outside IR35 £450 – 550 per day
A well-known and hugely prestigious global business is hiring a C#, Azure Developer for a 6-month contract engagement, with the potential for an extension. This role involves remote working as part of a large-scale Cloud Transformation programme. The engagement is outside IR35.
You will collaborate with an Architecture Team, focusing on re-platforming and modernising legacy APIs and integration platforms. The migration will move on-premise infrastructure to Azure cloud, demanding hands-on development with strong emphasis on automated testing and cloud-native solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop performant, public-facing REST APIs and system integrations in Azure
- Document APIs adhering to OpenAPI 3.x standards
- Review legacy implementations, proposing and building modern replacements in collaboration with the architecture team
- Write and maintain automated test cases using Reqnroll, integrating into CI/CD pipelines
- Participate in:
- Code reviews
- Design workshops
- Story elaboration sessions
- Ensure security, scalability, and performance across all solutions

Requirements
- Hands-on C# and .NET Core expertise (across multiple projects)
- Azure experience including:
- Azure Functions
- Azure Service Bus
- CosmosDB
- Azure SQL
- RESTful API development with proficiency in OpenAPI 3.x / Swagger documentation
- Proven automated testing experience using:
- XUnit
- SpecFlow / Reqnroll
- Experience with Auth0 (or equivalent) for authentication and authorisation
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline integration and DevOps practices
- Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
