Location: Remote (with ad hoc travel to London office i.e. one office day a month)
Contract Length: 12 Months (with scope to extend)

Clearance: SC (with eligibility for higher levels of clearance)
We are supporting a public sector client in hiring an Azure DevOps Engineer to join an established technical team delivering and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and services across a complex, secure environment.
This is a hands-on technical role requiring broad Azure platform experience across infrastructure, identity, networking, containerisation and CI/CD delivery. The successful candidate will be comfortable working across both development and operational aspects of the Azure estate, contributing to platform reliability, security, and ongoing service improvement.
This role suits an Azure DevOps Engineer with strong IaC credentials, a solid understanding of Microsoft identity and access management, and the ability to operate effectively within a regulated, security-conscious public sector environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain Azure infrastructure across core services including APIM, Logic Apps, Service Fabric, Container Apps, and Virtual Machines
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using ARM templates and Terraform, ensuring consistent and repeatable environment provisioning
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines within Azure DevOps, supporting automated build, test, and deployment workflows
- Administer and maintain Microsoft Identity and Access Management, including Azure B2C configuration and access governance
- Support and maintain networking components including network interfaces, firewalls, and associated security controls
- Contribute to platform security, compliance, and operational readiness within a regulated, SC-cleared environment
- Collaborate with architecture, development, and security teams to ensure infrastructure solutions are fit for purpose and aligned to programme objectives
- Produce and maintain technical documentation supporting platform operations, change management, and knowledge transfer

Essential Skills
- Active, unelapsed SC clearance with eligibility for higher levels of clearance
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure services including APIM, Logic Apps, Service Fabric, Container Apps, PaaS, and Virtual Machines
- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code using ARM templates and Terraform
- Hands-on CI/CD pipeline development and management within Azure DevOps
- Experience administering Microsoft Identity and Access Management including Azure B2C
- Solid understanding of Azure networking including network interfaces, firewalls, and network security groups
- PowerShell scripting experience for automation and platform management
Desirable Skills
- DV clearance held or previously obtained
- Familiarity with SQL DBA activities within an Azure-hosted environment
- Experience supporting containerised workloads and microservices architectures
