About the Role
Our Consulting business brings together diverse advisory experts focused on six core solutions:

- Deal Services
- Restructuring
- Finance Function Support
- Risk and Governance
With a bold, growth-focused strategy, Consulting is investing in digital and technology platforms to enable automation, scalability, and innovation. As part of this initiative, we are establishing a consulting-owned and managed Azure environment, operating under firm-wide security guidelines while aligning with the needs of delivery teams.
You will take a critical technical and leadership role in designing, building, and governing this Azure environment, reporting to the Consulting Platforms Lead. This position requires architecture expertise, hands-on engineering, and platform ownership, demanding someone comfortable with strategy, standardisation, and hands-on execution.

- Own and design Consulting’s Azure platform, defining target architecture, environments, shared services and reusable components for secure, scalable, and innovative delivery.

Governance & Design Authority
- Act as the Azure design authority, setting standards, patterns, and guardrails while aligning with firm-wide policies to ensure compliant, proportionate platform usage.

Security, Risk & Compliance by Design
- Embed security principles across the platform, collaborating with Security, Risk, and Privacy teams to meet regulatory, legal, and information security requirements.

FinOps & Operational Excellence
- Lead cost management and FinOps practices, defining operational processes like provisioning, monitoring, resilience, disaster recovery, and continuous platform improvement.

Hands-On Engineering & Enablement
- Build and configure core Azure components, support team onboarding, and act as a technical mentor and escalation point for Azure-related queries across Consulting.
Requirements
We’re looking for a technically strong, pragmatic, and collaborative Azure specialist who combines systems thinking with a delivery mindset. You’ll bring diverse experiences and perspectives. Here’s what we’re seeking:
- Significant hands-on experience designing and operating Azure environments in regulated or enterprise contexts.
- Deep understanding of Azure core services, including:
- Identity (Entra ID, RBAC, managed identities)
- Networking (VNets, private endpoints, firewalls, connectivity patterns)
- Security services, monitoring, and compliance controls
- Azure governance (Policy, Blueprints / equivalents)
- Experience defining platform-level architectures, not just individual workload solutions.
- Practical experience implementing infrastructure using automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
- Strong grasp of cloud operating models, including environment management, governance, and FinOps.
- Ability to confidently engage with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, with the skill to challenge constructively.
