Azure Senior Engineering Lead
Experience in cloud architecture, DevOps, and analytics platforms, with a focus on Azure-native serverless components
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architectural decision-making for scalable and user-centric cloud solutions
- Oversee design, implementation, and governance of DevOps practices and infrastructure-as-code
- Drive adoption of Azure serverless components, including:
- Azure Functions
- Logic Apps
- Event Grid
- Work extensively with Azure messaging & integration services, specialising in:
- Azure Service Bus
- Event Hubs
- API Management
- Define and evolve high-performance data-driven solutions across:
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- Azure Databricks
- Azure Data Lake Storage
- Ensure robust collaboration with business stakeholders, including:
- Problem-solving and challenging point solutions
- Influencing senior leadership in technology strategy
- Facilitating user-facing portal development with a self-service and analytics focus
- Foster a growth-oriented team culture by:
- Coaching technical teams
- Leading geographically dispersed teams
- Driving continuous improvement via Agile methodologies

Core Requirements
- Substantial experience in cloud architecture, DevOps, and analytics platforms
- Deep Azure proficiency, covering:
- Azure DevOps
- Serverless architectures
- Bicep/ARM templates
- Terraform (Infrastructure-as-Code)
- Hands-on knowledge of:
- Azure Messaging: Service Bus, Event Hubs
- Data Services: Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks
- Databases: Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, Data Lake Storage
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including high-impact presentations for non-technical audiences
- Proven track record in agile delivery, team leadership, and scaling development practices
