Job Description

We are seeking an Azure Solutions Architect to join Legal & General Retail and play a key role in shaping and delivering enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure and platform solutions across both Azure and AWS. This is a highly impactful opportunity to support the organisation’s transformation journey, enabling strategic outcomes across all Retail product lines and domains. The role is accountable for the end-to-end design of cloud infrastructure and associated services, ensuring solutions are secure, resilient, scalable, compliant, and cost effective.

The successful candidate will define and articulate a clear target state cloud architecture, providing direction and guidance to delivery teams across a diverse technology landscape to ensure successful execution. Working in close partnership with engineers, architects, security, risk and compliance teams, as well as senior business and IT stakeholders, the role requires excellent communication skills, strong structured decision making, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges.

What you'll be doing:

  • Producing end to end Azure infrastructure solution designs, ensuring alignment to both functional and non functional requirements including security, resilience, performance, compliance, and cost
  • Collaborating with engineering and delivery teams to align component level designs with the broader architecture and ensure adherence to enterprise principles and target state
  • Communicating architecture decisions, rationale, and trade offs to stakeholders and governance forums, supporting informed decision making and consistency across the portfolio
  • Partnering with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Technology Leads to translate business outcomes into robust and scalable infrastructure requirements
  • Facilitating and participating in design reviews to ensure alignment to target state and supporting the definition of comprehensive testing and assurance strategies
  • Supporting estimation and planning activities by working closely with engineering teams to validate and refine delivery plans and infrastructure requirements
  • Coordinating deployment activities across Azure and integrated platforms, ensuring safe change practices, automation, and repeatable deployment models
  • Driving shared accountability for successful technology delivery by working in close partnership with project and programme leadership teams

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
