Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer
Location: Remote‑first
Clearance: UK Security Clearance (SC) – Mandatory
Contract Type: 6 Month FTC
On‑Call: 1‑in‑3 shared rotation
About the Role We’re looking for an experienced Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Engineer to join a dedicated AVD support function responsible for delivering a secure, stable, and high‑performing remote working environment.

What You’ll Be Doing As the AVD specialist within the team, you will: ✅ Support and administer the full Azure Virtual Desktop estate ✅ Provide hands‑on support to end users within a dedicated AVD support team ✅ Manage host pools, images, user/application access, resource groups and overall AVD configuration ✅ Optimise and support multi‑user environments using FSLogix and NetApp (or equivalent technologies) ✅ Ensure high availability, resilience and disaster recovery across all AVD components ✅ Participate in an on‑call rota (1‑in‑3) ✅ Travel occasionally to the Gloucester Business Park site when required (remote-first role)
