Morson Edge is recruiting experienced B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineers to support A400M maintenance and certification activities at RAF Brize Norton.
As the home of the RAF's strategic air transport fleet, RAF Brize Norton plays a critical role in supporting global military operations. This opportunity offers the chance to work on the Airbus A400M Atlas within a highly skilled military aviation environment, supporting aircraft availability across one of the UK's most operational fleets.
Working alongside experienced engineers and maintenance teams, you'll combine hands-on maintenance, certification responsibilities, and technical leadership while supporting a programme that remains at the heart of UK defence operations.

The Role
As a B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer, you will carry out and certify maintenance activities in accordance with approved technical documentation, regulatory requirements, and company procedures.
Working under the direction of the Senior Licensed Engineer (SLE) or Lead Engineer (LE), you will support aircraft serviceability and operational readiness while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
You will also provide technical support to engineering teams, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and help ensure maintenance delivery targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Perform and certify A400M aircraft maintenance in accordance with approved Technical Documentation and Company Procedures
Certify own work and, where authorised, the work of others within the scope of approvals held
Support aircraft availability and operational delivery targets
Lead groups of engineers on assigned maintenance tasks
Carry out fault diagnosis, repairs, modifications, and maintenance activities

Ensure maintenance documentation is completed accurately and on time
Maintain the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
Mentor apprentices, trainees, and new starters where required
Support offsite activities including AOG and line support when necessary
Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, and efficiency
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Hold an appropriate Category B Licence in accordance with CAA Part-66
A400M Type Course completed
Completion of MOD Phase 2 Technical Training (in line with MAA RA4808)
Valid EWIS and Human Factors training
Proven experience within a military or regulated aviation maintenance environment
Strong leadership, communication, and teamworking skills
Ability to obtain and exercise company approvals
Hold a UK driving licence and be capable of obtaining an airside driving permit
Eligible to obtain and maintain UK Security Clearance
