About the Role
Build your own client portfolio from day one.
Schools Mailing has been helping organisations market their products and services to schools across the UK for over 25 years. Through our targeted data, email marketing and direct mail services, we help businesses connect with the right decision makers in schools.
We're looking for a driven B2B salesperson who enjoys creating opportunities, building relationships and developing long term clients.
This isn't a role where you'll inherit an existing portfolio of accounts. Instead, you'll build your own client base from scratch and become the long term account manager for every relationship you create.
You'll start with no territory, no client base and no inbound enquiries. During your first few months, your focus will be on generating new business through outbound calls, building your pipeline and creating opportunities.
As your portfolio grows, your role will naturally evolve into managing and developing those client relationships, securing repeat business and identifying new opportunities to help your clients achieve their marketing objectives.
During your first three months, you'll spend most of your day speaking with prospective clients by phone. Success in this role comes from consistency, resilience and the confidence to start conversations that create opportunities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
